Hoi An – My Son Tour



Hoi An – My Son Tour The Old Town of Hoi An is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formerly known as Faifo, Hoi An was one of the most bustling trading port towns in Southeast Asia.
One hour drive west of Hoi An is My Son which is the ancient Cham ruins – the vestiges of the former glorious Cham Pa Kingdom. My Son is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century A.D.

In the morning: Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. We travel about 50km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. My Son comprises many Cham temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of religious ceremonies of the kings and scholars of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Cham royals and national heroes.
In the afternoon: After lunch at a local restaurant, take a walking tour around this enchanting port town. Follow the narrow lanes lined with century-old homes influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architects and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the local fish market … All through the town we can see numerous art galleries and tailor shops and you can get some made-to-order clothes if you like.
Tour end at 5 pm in your hotel.
